Remove old window film from the windows of a home, car or truck with the Klingshield Window Film Remover Liquid.
Use the window film adhesive remover to help ensure that no sticky residue remains on the glass surface before installing new tint.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1...Try to lift the corner of the film with a blade and if successful, slowly pull the film off the window.
2...Once the film has been removed there will residual glue left on the glass.
3...With a paintbrush, paint the glue remover over all the affected areas.
4...Make sure you use a drop cloth to protect all surrounding areas as the glue remover can damage the side panels and upholstery.
5...Leave the glue remover to soak for ten minutes and with a plastic scraper, scrape all the softened residual glue off the window.
6...Thereafter, clean the window with a scourer until the window is spotlessly clean.
Should the film not come off in one large piece and only in small bits, one needs to use a strong steamer and a heat gun to soften the film.
Once you have heated the film for a while you will find it much easier to pull off and remove.
Be very careful when removing the film from back windows with demister lines as if you are in a hurry you can damage the demister lines.
Do not use a metal scraper for these types of windows as they could also damage the lines.
Be very patient when taking on this type of project because damaging and scratching windows that need replacing can be a very expensive exercise indeed.
